Firefox force page update
It seems like every time there's a Firefox patch I have or so users who need the update. With this latest update, it seems like even our "helper" app that's supposed to let Firefox automatically escalate privileges isn't even working to get the update out. We're rolling patches manually to these users, but has anybody got a solution to use powershell or something similar to force a firefox update remotely? I know they have some sort of update Windows service but I'm afraid I wasn't able to follow the documentation well enough to know if it's something I can use to kick it off via script.
Are these users using Firefox? I have not had issues with it updating as long as it's opened. GPO is good for forcing it. If it's not being used, I deploy a new version once in a while to bump them all up. Unfortunately, neither is an option for me. I'm really limited to "What can I do with psexec?
