Accounting and Payroll System Diploma program students complete their education with hours of practicum experience at a partner institution. Payroll Basics This course prepares students to Calculate regular individual pay, Calculate non-regular individual pay, Calculate termination payments, Complete a Record of Employment ROE , Communicate all aspects of individual pay requirements to various stakeholders.

Payroll Reporting This course prepares students to Calculate organizational remittances to federal, provincial and third party stakeholders, Prepare accounting documentation for payroll, Complete year end documentation, Communicate all aspects of organizational remittances, accounting and year end requirements to internal, external and government stakeholders. Students who are retaking the course and have a new school-awarded mark will automatically receive an exemption in January Students who were intending to rewrite a diploma exam and were not taking the course can register to rewrite in April Students who were registered to write in January for example, were first time writers and who receive a school-awarded mark in the January term will automatically receive an exemption.

If a student had registered to retake the course and was registered to write the diploma exam in January, they will automatically receive an exemption if they have a new school-awarded mark in the January term. All fees paid for the January diploma exams will be refunded. Refunds will be issued in March For students who are retaking the diploma course, the highest official mark will be reported.

The current school-awarded mark will be considered for blending with previous diploma exam marks if the official mark will improve. Official marks will be available by February 11, All student marks are released once all of the exemptions have been processed. Retroactive exemptions will not be provided to students who wrote diploma exams earlier this school year or in previous school years.

Registrations for students currently taking or retaking a diploma exam course should be left in PASI. Contact any students who are not registered with the school authority but had indicated a desire to write a January diploma exam at one of their schools.

Work with students who are retaking the course and upload the new school-awarded mark into PASI by February 1, You will not receive a reply. Do not enter any personal information such as telephone numbers, addresses, or emails. Your submissions are monitored by our web team and are used to help improve the experience on Alberta.
